Line graphs of the patient's WBC and ANC blood test data are presented on the integrated patient tracking web-page. The date range of the data plotted can be changed at will and the graphs re-drawn. At anytime a maximized version of the graphs can be displayed and printed if necessary. When changing the date range, a user can take advantage of calendar pop-ups to select a date instead of typing one in.
When blood test data is being entered for a patient, bounds checking is done to minimize typographical errors.
Alert indicators are displayed with a
patient's blood test data to highlight possible signs of neutropenia
or agranulocytosis.
The
Patient Reports page provides two basic reports, a list of patients due for testing on a particular day and a list of patients whose test results are currently overdue.
The online registry supports upload of ASCII files containing test results that may be extracted from a lab's automated system. These results are reflected immediately on the patients' history once the data has been imported. Basic error checking is done during the data upload and errors can be trapped immediately.
The online registry also supports a multi-patient entry worksheet that can be used by administrators to enter data for a batch of patients. This data is also error-checked and reflected immediately on the patient tracking page once it has been accepted.
Patients' privacy is respected and only a patient's initials and date of birth are exposed on the registry for verification, not the patient's name or address.
All data transfer on the web is secured via HTTPS, the same transfer protocol used to protect internet banking.
Registered treatment partners must login to the online registry with a secure Id and password. The password can and should be changed regularly to enhance security.
An interactive demo is provided so
potential users of the registry can familiarize themselves with the features of the
registry.
A full Apo-Clozapine web site is supported along with the online patient registry, as a resource for patients and professionals involved as treatment partners.
